First Nations Family Dispute Resolution

First Nations Family Dispute Resolution is the program which supports separating couples where the Family Court could be involved if agreement cannot be obtained.  All our mediators are formally qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners, and we offer a range of male, female, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal staff delivering in a culturally safe manner.

We focus on Aboriginal people as our priority, but provide the free service to anyone. Our key role is to assist couples when they have children, to make sure the kids are well cared for after separation. We also support the reasonable sharing of assets where property matters are involved in the separation.

We can assist with broader family disputes on a case-by-case basis. This is not a part of our Family Dispute Resolution program but delivered by our qualified mediators.
